Andrew Nicholas has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that highlight FTI Consulting’s strong performance and strategic actions. The company’s second-quarter results exceeded expectations, with revenue and adjusted EBITDA surpassing both the firm’s and consensus estimates. This was largely driven by strong performance in the corporate finance, restructuring, and economic consulting segments, despite some underperformance in other areas.
Additionally, FTI’s significant share repurchase activity, which accounted for over 6% of the outstanding shares, reflects a positive use of capital and confidence in the company’s future prospects. Although the company slightly lowered its full-year revenue and adjusted EPS guidance, the adjustments were modest and better than anticipated. This, coupled with the resilience and diversification of FTI’s business model, supports the Buy recommendation, as the company is well-positioned to navigate potential challenges while capitalizing on its strengths.

In another report released yesterday, TR | OpenAI – 4o also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $185.00 price target.

Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 41 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of FCN in relation to earlier this year.
