Michael Brown has given his Sell rating due to a combination of factors impacting Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. Class A. Despite a decent first quarter performance, the positive market reaction was more about relief and reassuring commentary rather than expectations of upward revisions. Brown remains cautious due to potential risks to management fee and EPS estimates, as well as valuation concerns.
Additionally, while the company has expressed optimism about fundraising growth and its position in the market, there are uncertainties regarding management fees and other financial metrics. The management fees for the first quarter were slightly below Brown’s estimates, and there are complexities in discerning core results due to catch-up fees and other factors. These elements contribute to a cautious outlook, leading to the Sell rating.
In another report released today, KBW also maintained a Sell rating on the stock with a $50.00 price target.
Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 33 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of BAM in relation to earlier this year.
