Carlo Maritano has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that highlight Aquafil SpA’s potential for growth and improvement. Despite the company’s FY24 results falling short of expectations, there were notable year-over-year improvements, particularly in revenue and EBITDA growth. Aquafil’s financial position was bolstered by a successful capital raise, which helped reduce net debt and improve the net debt/EBITDA ratio significantly.
Furthermore, the management’s reaffirmation of the 2024-2026 Industrial Plan targets, which focus on debt reduction and technological innovation, supports a positive outlook. The plan anticipates increased volumes and improved efficiency, which are expected to drive EBITDA growth. With the stock trading below its target price and the potential for significant upside due to expected de-leveraging, the risk/reward profile appears attractive, justifying the Buy rating.
In another report released on March 19, Kepler Capital also upgraded the stock to a Buy with a €1.60 price target.
