Splitero, a financial technology company specializing in home equity investments, has successfully closed a $283.3 million rated home equity investment (HEI) securitization. This landmark transaction, finalized on November 25, 2025, marks the largest inaugural HEI securitization to date, with significant investor interest. The securitization involved the issuance of various classes of securities, including $195.5 million of senior class A-1 rated A (low) (sf), $48 million of mezzanine class A-2 securities rated BBB (low) (sf), and subordinate classes B-1 and B-2. The overwhelming demand for the A-1 class alone exceeded $2 billion, highlighting the strong market reception and investor confidence in Splitero’s platform.

Michael Gifford, Founder and CEO of Splitero, emphasized the importance of this achievement, noting that it underscores the strength of their platform and product positioning. The company’s proprietary Maturity Match™ structure, which aligns HEI term lengths with homeowners’ remaining mortgage timelines, played a crucial role in attracting investors. Splitero’s HEIs offer a flexible alternative to traditional financing by providing homeowners with upfront cash in exchange for a share of their home’s future value, without requiring income verification or monthly payments. This approach allows homeowners to access their equity for various financial goals without selling or refinancing. The transaction was supported by Blue Owl Capital, Antarctica Capital, and Kingsbridge Investment Partners, with Barclays and Nomura Securities International as joint bookrunners. This successful securitization positions Splitero for continued growth in the home equity investment market, offering a valuable solution for both homeowners and institutional investors.
