Mutuum Finance is moving into the execution phase of its decentralized lending strategy on Ethereum after completing a full protocol security audit by Halborn Security and advancing a large-scale token presale. The project is building dual lending markets for asset suppliers and collateralized borrowers, using mtTokens to represent deposits and accrued interest in a transferable, composable format across DeFi ecosystems. V1 will roll out first on testnet, where core functions—including borrowing, lending, liquidations, and oracle pricing—will be stress-tested before mainnet activation. Once live, on-chain metrics such as borrow demand, liquidity depth, collateral parameters, and oracle performance will give institutional and sophisticated investors a clearer view of the protocol’s risk profile and revenue potential. Stablecoins are expected to anchor borrowing activity, targeting traders seeking predictable repayment obligations and leverage, while planned Layer-2 integrations are aimed at lowering transaction costs and improving liquidation efficiency, key drivers of solvency and user experience in lending markets.

Security and market readiness are central to Mutuum’s roadmap. Halborn’s audit assessed liquidation mechanics, collateral valuation logic, borrowing flows, and interest rate calculations, while MUTM’s token contract received a 90/100 rating from CertiK’s token scan, and a $50,000 bug bounty is in place to surface remaining vulnerabilities before mainnet exposure. Price feeds will rely on Chainlink with backup oracles to reduce pricing failures, a known risk factor in past DeFi lending incidents. On the funding side, Mutuum is in Phase 7 of its presale at $0.04 per token, with a confirmed listing price of $0.06, out of a total 4 billion supply of which 45.5% (about 1.82 billion tokens) is allocated to presale buyers. The presale, which began in early 2025 at $0.01, has driven more than a 250% price step-up and raised over $19.8 million from roughly 18,800 holders, building a broad distribution base ahead of launch. With Phase 2 of development nearing completion and Phase 3 focused on testnet, mainnet preparation, and initial usage metrics, Mutuum’s 2026 V1 launch will shift the focus from token fundraising to protocol performance, particularly stablecoin lending volumes, security resilience, and the robustness of its collateral and oracle design.
