Mutuum Finance is entering a critical transition from development to operational deployment as it prepares to launch its V1 DeFi lending protocol, backed by completed audits, final-stage infrastructure work, and a sizable token presale. The project is building a dual-market lending system that combines a pooled liquidity market with a peer-matching market, allowing lenders to supply assets for yield via mtTokens while borrowers access funds against collateral at defined loan-to-value ratios under unified liquidation rules. mtTokens serve as yield-bearing receipts that can be staked to earn MUTM purchased on the open market using a share of protocol revenue, creating a buy-and-distribute structure that directly links token rewards to borrowing activity and fee generation rather than purely narrative-driven token value. In parallel, Mutuum is designing an over-collateralized stablecoin intended to deepen and stabilize borrowing demand, which could support more consistent fee revenue and protocol usage over time.

On the security front, Mutuum Finance has completed an independent audit of its V1 contracts with Halborn Security, achieved a 90/100 token scan score from CertiK, and launched a $50,000 bug bounty program ahead of mainnet activation. The team has confirmed that the V1 release is scheduled to go live on the Sepolia testnet in Q1 2026, covering collateral accounting, liquidation logic, debt handling, and mtToken issuance before moving to mainnet. Funding momentum has been strong: the MUTM token presale, which began in early 2025 at $0.01, has advanced to Phase 7 at $0.04—on a path to an official launch price of $0.06—with more than $19.9 million raised, about 830 million tokens sold, and over 18,900 holders participating. Approximately 1.82 billion MUTM, or 45.5% of the 4 billion total supply, has been earmarked for presale, giving Mutuum a relatively broad early distribution base. With security, infrastructure, and token distribution largely in place, the project is now viewed by market observers as moving out of the conceptual phase and into an activation window for the next DeFi cycle.
