IDme has shared an update. The company highlights the implications of Spain’s new Law 5/2025, which requires certain forklifts and industrial handling equipment to carry mandatory Civil Liability for Circulation (RCC) insurance starting in 2025, even when operated on private premises. Equipment must be insured if it either has a maximum manufacturing speed above 25 km/h or weighs more than 25 kg with a maximum speed above 14 km/h. This typically affects forklifts, towing tractors, sweepers, and similar industrial machinery. Owners of machinery must secure coverage directly, while RCC coverage for rental equipment will be integrated into lease contracts, with modest adjustments to rental rates. Companies must comply by January 2026. For IDme, this regulatory change could support incremental demand for advisory and compliance-related services tied to industrial safety and insurance, potentially expanding its service revenues and deepening relationships with industrial and logistics clients. By positioning itself as a partner for navigating new regulatory requirements, IDme may strengthen its market position in the industrial machinery and intralogistics segment, though the financial impact will depend on the scale of client adoption and pricing for these services.
