The company marked India’s 77th Republic Day by outlining several AI and analytics initiatives spanning core research, healthcare, creative tools, and national-scale language models. Fractal highlighted its AI Research Lab’s work in mathematical reasoning, citing global recognition for its Project Ramanujan models at NeurIPS 2024 (Meta HackerCup) and ICLR 2025, and early work with Fathom’s R1-14B and 1B variants to enhance math and STEM problem-solving. The company also showcased Vaidya.ai, described as India’s first multimodal medical assistant, aimed at supporting clinical decision-making and medical education, including performance on rigorous benchmarks such as PG NEET. In the creative domain, Fractal is developing Kalaido.ai, a text-to-image model supporting English and 17 Indian languages to enable more inclusive content creation for brands and institutions. Strategically, Fractal noted its selection as one of 12 organizations under India’s national IndiaAI Mission to build homegrown large language models focused on math, STEM, and medical reasoning, targeting use cases in education, healthcare, and emerging industries.
