CVector has raised an oversubscribed $5 million seed round to accelerate deployment of its AI-powered optimization platform for energy-intensive industrial customers, in a financing led by Powerhouse Ventures with participation from Fusion Fund, Hitachi Ventures, Myriad Venture Partners, and Schematic Ventures. Founded in November 2024 by former Shell and CERN professionals and headquartered in New York, the company plans to use the capital to build out sales and product teams and support customers as they expand current implementations across public utilities, advanced manufacturing, and chemical production. CVector’s customer base already includes metal processor ATEK Metals and chemical producer Ammobia, positioning the firm early in high-load, margin-sensitive sectors where energy, feedstock, and market volatility materially affect plant economics.
CVector’s software ingests high-resolution supply chain, control system, and market data to generate prioritized, facility-specific recommendations that optimize for profitability under changing feedstock, energy, and finished product prices. According to co-founder and CEO Richard Zhang, the system is designed to sharpen decision-making around optimal production, grounding every operational action in economic impact rather than purely technical metrics. The platform learns from operator behavior, tailoring guidance to how production teams actually work, and is intended to speed root-cause analysis, improve troubleshooting, and enable more proactive system planning. Lead investor Powerhouse Ventures highlighted CVector’s focus on combining contextualized industrial data, economic optimization, and usability for front-line teams as a differentiator in the emerging class of AI-native industrial software. For industrial operators and investors, the round signals growing institutional confidence that AI-driven decision support can deliver measurable margin improvement in complex, energy-intensive production environments, and sets CVector up for accelerated commercial scaling over the near term.
