Bolt has appointed Olta Andoni as Senior Vice President of Legal and People, a move aimed at hardwiring regulatory, compliance, and talent strategy into the core of its checkout, identity, and payments platform, including its crypto-enabled SuperApp. Andoni will oversee legal, regulatory, compliance, privacy, and people operations as Bolt scales its infrastructure across digital commerce and identity verification, working alongside product and engineering teams to ensure new capabilities are built and launched within robust governance frameworks. Founder and CEO Ryan Breslow framed the hire as critical to delivering durable commerce infrastructure, emphasizing the need for tightly integrated legal and people functions as the company accelerates product development and expands its merchant and consumer footprint.
The role is designed to align hiring, policies, and internal processes directly with Bolt’s product roadmap and operational goals, supporting a performance-driven culture focused on clarity, accountability, and sustainable execution as the company grows. Andoni, who previously led regulatory and compliance efforts at digital asset and NFT-focused firms, brings deep experience in digital finance and U.S. crypto regulation, which is increasingly relevant as payments, identity, and financial infrastructure converge. She signaled that her priority will be embedding compliance, privacy, and trust into Bolt’s platform so teams can move quickly without sacrificing merchant and consumer confidence. For Bolt, the appointment reinforces a leadership structure intended to support scaling its CheckoutOS, Bolt Ignite, and SuperApp offerings while maintaining reliability and transparency for merchants, shoppers, and investors, and positioning the company to navigate evolving regulatory regimes around both traditional and crypto payments.
