Morgan Stanley (MS) stock slipped on Wednesday following the release of the financial company’s Q2 2025 earnings report. The company reported diluted earnings per share of $2.13 during the quarter, above the $1.98 Wall Street expected. Its EPS also grew 17% year over year from $1.82, marking six sequential quarters of consistent earnings.

Revenue reported by Morgan Stanley in Q2 2025 came in at $16.8 billion, compared to analysts’ estimate of $16.07 billion. The financial firm’s revenue also increased 12% year over year from $15 billion. While Investment Banking revenue was down 5% from Q2 2024, Equity revenue rose 23% and Fixed Income revenue climbed 9%.

MS stock was down 0.25% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, following a 1.65% drop yesterday. Even so, the stock was still up 14.29% year to date and 32.38% over the past 12 months.

What’s Next for Morgan Stanley Stock?

Morgan Stanley didn’t provide guidance in its latest earnings report. However, Wall Street still has expectations for the company. Analysts estimate the bank will report diluted EPS of $8.68 alongside revenue of $65.54 billion in 2025.
