JPMorgan Chase (JPM) stock slipped in pre-market trading on Tuesday following the release of its Q2 2025 earnings report. The financial company reported earnings per share of $5.24, well above Wall Street’s estimate of $4.48. However, its EPS was down 14.4% year-over-year from $6.12.

JPMorgan Chase reported revenue of $44.91 billion in Q2, another beat compared to analysts’ estimate of $43.81 billion. Unfortunately, it was another year-over-year drop, with the company’s revenue down 10.5% from $50.2 billion. This drop came alongside a 20% decrease in noninterest revenue.

JPM stock was down 0.97% in pre-market trading this morning, following a 0.64% rally yesterday. Even so, the shares were still up 22.39% year-to-date and 35.15% over the past 12 months.

What’s Next for JPMorgan Chase Stock?

JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon commented on the current state of the U.S. economy in this earnings report. He said “significant risks persist – including from tariffs and trade uncertainty, worsening geopolitical conditions, high fiscal deficits and elevated asset prices.”

JPMorgan Chase doesn’t include guidance in its latest earnings report, but that doesn’t stop Wall Street from making estimates. Analysts expect the company to report EPS and revenue of $18.49 and $176.29 billion in 2025, respectively.

Turning to Wall Street, the analysts’ consensus rating for JPMorgan Chase is Moderate Buy, based on 12 Buy, four Hold, and two Sell ratings over the past three months.
