Customer relationship management software provider Salesforce (CRM) is scheduled to announce its results for the second quarter of Fiscal 2026 on Wednesday, September 3. CRM stock is down more than 23% year-to-date due to slowing revenue growth, weak demand for large IT projects, and slower-than-expected adoption of the company’s Agentforce AI (artificial intelligence) offering. As a result, Wall Street analysts remain cautiously optimistic ahead of the results.

What to Expect from CRM’s Q2 Earnings
Wall Street analysts expect CRM to report earnings per share of $2.78 for Q2, compared to $2.56 in the same quarter last year. Meanwhile, analysts project Q2 revenues of nearly $10.14 billion, according to the TipRanks Analyst Forecasts Page. This marks a year-over-year increase of about 9%.

Analysts’ Views Ahead of Earnings
Ahead of the Q2 print, Oppenheimer analyst Brian Schwartz raised his price target on Salesforce to $370 from $315 and kept an Outperform rating. The 5-star analyst said expectations for the second-quarter earnings are muted, and the stock price already reflects much of the bad news. While business trends remain soft and near-term catalysts are limited, he sees some seasonal improvement in enterprise IT spending in the second half of the year.
Meanwhile, Barclays analyst Raimo Lenschow kept a Buy rating, but trimmed the price target to $316 from $347 per share. He believes U.S. software stocks, including Salesforce, could see a short-term bounce this earnings season, even as concerns over generative AI linger.
Lenschow noted strong customer interest in Salesforce’s AI offerings and expects the company to post a modest beat this quarter. He sees October’s Dreamforce event, where CRM is likely to unveil the next version of Agentforce, as a key catalyst.
Is CRM a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
Turning to Wall Street, CRM stock has a Moderate Buy consensus rating based on 19 Buys and eight Holds assigned in the last three months. At $334.18, the average Salesforce stock price target implies a 30.41% upside potential.
