Shares of Hims & Hers Health (HIMS), the telehealth and wellness platform, declined over 9% in after-hours trading after reporting mixed results for the second quarter. Earnings per share came in at $0.17, which surpassed $0.15 expected by the analysts and jumped 183% from the prior-year quarter.

Meanwhile, the company’s Q2 revenue rose 73% year-over-year to $544.8 million but missed the consensus estimate of $551.67 million. The upside was driven by robust demand for personalized treatment plans and precision medicine.

Importantly, Hims & Hers Health’s subscriber base grew 31% to 2.4 million, while Adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to $82.2 million.

However, the company witnessed a serious dip in free cash flow. As of June 30 2025, Hims & Hers had a negative free cash flow of $69.4 million against a positive balance of $47.6 million in the previous year.

CFO Yemi Okupe said the company is investing in key long-term growth areas, such as pharmacy personalization, expanded lab testing, and international expansion.

2025 Outlook

Looking forward, management has provided the following guidance for 2025:

  • Q3 2025 revenue of between $570 million and $590 million versus analysts’ estimates of $584.2 million
  • Q3 2025 Adjusted EBITDA of $60 million to $70 million
  • FY 2025 Revenue of between $2.3 billion and $2.4 billion versus analysts’ consensus of $2.36 billion.
  • FY 2025 Adjusted EBITDA of $295 million to $335 million

Turning to Wall Street, HIMS stock has a Hold consensus rating based on one Buy, seven Holds, and two Sells assigned in the last three months. At $42.33, the average Hims & Hers stock price target implies a 33.18% downside potential.

However, it’s worth noting that estimates will likely change following today’s earnings report.
