The trades came after sharp volatility in the AI chip space, following reports that Meta (META) may adopt Alphabet’s (GOOGL) custom TPUs 9 (tensor processing units). The news dragged down Nvidia (NVDA) and AMD (AMD) stocks, but sent Alphabet shares higher.
Ark Buys Alphabet and Meta Stocks
Ark made one of its largest buys of the day in Alphabet, adding 174,293 shares worth about $56.4 million across multiple ETFs. The move comes as Alphabet approaches a $4 trillion valuation, helped by growing optimism around its Gemini AI model and signs that Meta could use Google’s chips in future data centers.
The firm also purchased 33,837 shares of Meta valued at roughly $21.5 million. Meta stock climbed 4% on speculation of a Google partnership despite ongoing regulatory attention and fresh calls for a probe into ad practices.
Wood Steps Up Buying in CoreWeave, Block, and Crypto
Wood continued building exposure to CoreWeave, adding 396,198 shares worth about $28.2 million, even as the stock fell 3% on Tuesday on concerns linked to its reliance on Nvidia GPUs.
Wood also increased exposure to Block (XYZ), buying 212,538 shares valued at around $13.5 million.
Ark added another 96,200 shares of its ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) and boosted its position in Circle Internet Group (CRCL) with 108,450 shares valued at roughly $7.6 million, showing continued confidence in digital finance during the recent crypto pullback.
ARK Cuts Stakes in AMD and PLTR Stocks
On the selling side, Ark reduced exposure to AMD, offloading 106,651 shares valued near $22 million after the stock slid on concerns around Meta shifting to Google’s chips. Ark also exited 354,955 shares of Palantir worth about $58 million as the stock rebounded from a recent dip.
In addition to these, the fund also sold 216,331 shares of Exact Sciences (EXAS) and 397,713 shares of GitLab Inc. (GTLB).
