The 2x Solana ETF, SOLT, recorded a notable single-day outflow of $978,639 on December 19, 2025, a move that shaved roughly 0.39% off its total assets under management. Despite the withdrawal, the fund still oversees a substantial $252.3 million in AUM, underscoring that investors are trimming risk rather than staging a full-scale exit.

The latest redemption arrives against a backdrop of acute weakness in the underlying token. The related asset, SOL-USD, is currently trading at $126.30, having shed about 46.2% over the past three months. Short-term momentum looks fragile as well, with the 1-day technical signal flashing Sell, suggesting traders expect further pressure or at least a prolonged consolidation phase.

For a leveraged product like SOLT, which amplifies Solana’s moves, such a sharp underlying drawdown can quickly translate into heightened volatility in both returns and flows. The latest outflow may reflect investors locking in profits from earlier rallies or de-risking amid concerns that Solana’s recent slide could extend, particularly in a macro environment where speculative assets have come under renewed scrutiny.

Even so, the relatively modest percentage of AUM affected by this flow indicates that core holders are, for now, staying put, possibly viewing current levels as a reset rather than a structural breakdown in the Solana narrative. The coming weeks will test whether this is the start of a more sustained investor retreat from leveraged Solana exposure or simply a tactical repositioning after a bruising quarter for the token.
