The Roundhill Ether Covered Call Strategy ETF, YETH, saw investors pull $1,412,304 in assets on January 2, 2026, marking a notable bout of profit-taking or risk reduction in a volatile crypto options landscape. The outflow represents roughly 1.25% of the fund’s latest assets under management, which stand at $113.1 million, a meaningful shift for a niche strategy product built around options income on Ether.

The related asset, ETH-USD, is currently trading at $3,092.30, having shed about 18.2% over the past three months. That pullback, combined with a 1-day technical signal flashing Sell, helps explain why some investors may be reassessing exposure to yield-focused Ether strategies such as YETH. Covered call products tend to lag sharply in strong rallies but can cushion drawdowns; however, when the underlying asset is under sustained pressure and technicals turn bearish, investors often rotate back to cash or more defensive vehicles.

Yet the scale of the outflow—while significant in percentage terms—does not suggest a wholesale exodus. With more than $113 million still parked in the fund, a core base of investors appears willing to ride out Ether’s current slump in exchange for option premium income, effectively betting that volatility will remain elevated and that downside may be somewhat contained. If Ether’s weakness persists and technical indicators stay negative, flows could continue to lean toward redemptions, but a stabilization in price or renewed upside momentum might quickly revive demand for income strategies like YETH.
