The Fidelity Ethereum Fund ETF, FETH, logged fresh net inflows of $5,892,421 on January 15, 2026, underscoring continued investor interest in ether exposure even as prices retreat. The latest flow represents roughly 0.24% of the fund’s $2.47 billion in assets under management (AUM), a modest but notable addition that suggests allocators are still comfortable adding risk on weakness rather than exiting the trade.

The related asset, ETH-USD, is currently trading at $3,089.84, down about 19.4% over the past three months as crypto markets digest tighter liquidity conditions and regulatory uncertainty. Despite that drawdown, the ETF’s steady inflows indicate that some investors are treating the pullback as a medium- to long-term accumulation opportunity, using the listed vehicle for operational ease and regulatory clarity compared with holding spot tokens directly.

Short-term technicals, however, remain unsupportive. On a one-day view, ETH flashes a bearish signal, with the technical screeners pointing to a Sell bias. The tension between a negative short-term setup and ongoing ETF inflows highlights a growing divide between tactical traders, who are reacting to momentum and chart signals, and strategic investors, who appear more focused on Ethereum’s role in the broader smart-contract and DeFi ecosystem.

With less than a quarter of a percent of FETH’s AUM shifting in the latest session, the move is far from a wholesale repositioning. Still, the fund’s ability to attract capital during a multi-month price drawdown may be interpreted as a vote of confidence in Ethereum’s longer-term narrative—from network upgrades to institutional adoption—even as near-term volatility remains elevated.
