Valterra Platinum Limited ( (AGPPF) ) has issued an update.
Valterra Platinum has issued a trading statement indicating that headline earnings for the year to 31 December 2025 are expected to rise by 85%–105% to between R15.6 billion and R17.3 billion, with HEPS projected at 5,941–6,588 cents, while basic earnings are forecast to increase by 105%–125% to R14.5–R15.9 billion, translating into EPS of 5,522–6,055 cents. The earnings surge reflects a 26% stronger PGM dollar basket price, R5 billion in operational cost reductions and R2.5 billion in insurance proceeds, which more than offset inflation, R1.7 billion in one-off demerger costs, lower sales volumes from flooding-related disruptions at the Amandelbult Tumela mine, and R1.9 billion in non-recurring asset scrapping tied to changes in smelter and tailings infrastructure; higher taxation and royalties also tracked the improved profitability.
