Telefonica ( (TEF) ) has provided an update.

On 19 January 2026, Telefónica Emisiones, S.A.U., with a subordinated guarantee from Telefónica, S.A., completed the issuance and payment of two green undated deeply subordinated fixed rate reset bond tranches: a €900 million 5.25-year non-call and an €850 million 8.25-year non-call. The successful placement of these subordinated green securities strengthens Telefónica’s hybrid capital base and provides long-term funding earmarked for environmentally aligned projects, reinforcing the company’s balance-sheet flexibility and its positioning in sustainable finance markets, while offering investors yield-bearing instruments that sit lower in the capital structure than senior debt.

The most recent analyst rating on (TEF) stock is a Sell with a $3.40 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Telefonica stock, see the TEF Stock Forecast page.
