On 12 January 2026, Telefónica, S.A. announced that its subsidiary Telefónica Emisiones, S.A.U. has priced and closed the terms of two tranches of undated deeply subordinated guaranteed fixed rate reset green securities with a combined nominal amount of €1.75 billion, to be issued to professional investors and listed on the regulated market of Euronext Dublin. The issuance comprises €900 million 5.25-year non-call 2031 securities with an initial 4.381% coupon and €850 million 8.25-year non-call 2034 securities with an initial 4.881% coupon, both perpetual in nature with call options, interest deferral features, and step-up margins linked to relevant swap rates; net proceeds will be allocated under Telefónica’s Sustainable Financing Framework in line with international green and social bond and loan principles, reinforcing the group’s capital structure and its commitment to sustainable financing.
