So-Young International Inc. is a leading aesthetic treatment platform in China, offering a range of online and offline services, including aesthetic treatments, information services, and medical products. In its latest earnings report, So-Young International announced a decrease in total revenues for the second quarter of 2025, amounting to RMB378.7 million, down from RMB407.4 million in the same period of 2024. Despite the overall revenue decline, the company saw significant growth in its aesthetic treatment services, with revenues increasing by 426.1% to RMB144.4 million, driven by the expansion of its branded aesthetic centers.
Key financial metrics revealed a net loss of RMB36.0 million, contrasting with a net income of RMB18.9 million in the previous year. The non-GAAP net loss stood at RMB30.5 million, compared to a non-GAAP net income of RMB22.2 million in 2024. The company also reported a decrease in the aggregate value of medical aesthetic treatment transactions facilitated by its platform, which fell to RMB303.9 million from RMB427.8 million in the same period last year.
Operational highlights included a substantial increase in the number of verified treatment visits and aesthetic treatments performed, reflecting the company’s strategic focus on expanding its branded aesthetic centers. The number of active users also saw a significant rise, exceeding 100,400, up from approximately 16,000 in the previous year. As of June 30, 2025, So-Young operated 29 fully functional branded aesthetic centers across nine major Chinese cities, with 25 centers achieving positive monthly operating cash flow.
Looking ahead, So-Young’s management remains optimistic about the company’s growth prospects, with plans to operate 50 centers by the end of the year. The company aims to further scale its aesthetic center network and broaden its market presence, focusing on long-term value creation for customers, partners, and shareholders.
