Singapore Airlines Ltd., a leading global airline operating in the full-service and low-cost carrier segments, has reported its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. The company, known for its comprehensive air transportation services and engineering solutions, continues to maintain a strong presence in the aviation industry.
For the fiscal year 2024/25, Singapore Airlines Ltd. achieved a revenue of $19.54 billion, a slight increase from the previous year’s $19.01 billion. The company’s profit for the period was $2.81 billion, up from $2.70 billion in the prior year. The operating profit, however, saw a decline from $2.73 billion to $1.71 billion, primarily due to increased expenditures in staff costs, fuel, and other operating expenses.
Key financial highlights include a significant gain of $1.10 billion from the disposal of an associated company, which contributed to the overall profit before taxation of $2.96 billion. The company’s earnings per share also saw a notable increase to 89.3 cents from 63.3 cents the previous year. Despite a challenging operating environment, the airline managed to maintain a robust cash flow from operating activities, although there was a net cash outflow due to substantial investments and financing activities.
Looking ahead, Singapore Airlines Ltd. remains focused on enhancing its operational efficiency and expanding its market reach. The management is optimistic about the future, with plans to continue investing in fleet modernization and exploring strategic partnerships to strengthen its competitive position in the global aviation market.
