Mowi ASA ( (GB:0OAW) ) has provided an update.
Mowi has completed a strategic review of its integrated feed division and chosen to enter a strategic and industrial partnership with Nutreco-owned Skretting, one of the world’s leading aquaculture feed producers. Under the agreement, Mowi will retain ownership of its feed operations and its two factories in Norway and Scotland, which will continue producing for the group using Skretting’s formulations and purchasing terms, allowing the salmon farmer to combine its integrated model with Skretting’s nutrition expertise and R&D capabilities. The company expects more than NOK 650 million in annual net cost savings from improved feed formulation, purchasing and logistics, while its feed division is projected to contribute NOK 825 million to group gross operating profit in 2026, for a combined contribution equivalent to NOK 1.70 per share and a significant lift to group EBIT per kilogram, particularly in Norway. Management argues the partnership secures access to high-quality, competitively priced feed, strengthens Mowi’s cost leadership in salmon farming and preserves a highly profitable feed value chain at a time when the global feed market is expected to tighten, reinforcing the company’s competitive position and margins over the coming years.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:0OAW) stock is a Hold with a NOK225.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Mowi ASA stock, see the GB:0OAW Stock Forecast page.
