Mitsubishi Corporation has announced that Lawson, Inc. is now an equity-method affiliate following a share consolidation and transfer to KDDI Corporation, resulting in each holding a 50% share of Lawson’s voting rights. This change, effective from August 15th, also initiates a Shareholders Agreement for joint operation. Mitsubishi anticipates recognizing a gain of 12.32 billion yen in the current fiscal year due to this transition.
