The latest announcement is out from L1 Long Short Fund Ltd. ( (AU:LSF) ).

L1 Long Short Fund Limited reported a 14.1% net return for the December quarter, sharply outperforming the S&P/ASX 200 Accumulation Index’s 1.0% decline and taking its 2025 calendar-year gain to 46.8% versus the market’s 10.3%. Over five years, the portfolio has delivered 18.1% per annum compared with 9.9% for the benchmark, and the underlying L1 Capital long–short strategy has returned 19.9% annually since 2014, making it the top-performing long–short fund in Australia on this measure. The managers attribute recent strength to broad-based contributions from 22 positions and highlight that Australian equities now look fully valued at the index level, with large caps reliant on multiple expansion rather than earnings growth, in contrast to stronger U.S. earnings and a diverging rate outlook that favours a stronger Australian dollar. Against this macro backdrop of rising domestic inflation, a more hawkish RBA, Fed rate cuts and robust U.S. growth, L1 is rotating toward undervalued offshore names and low price-to-earnings ‘value’ stocks, arguing these segments are poised to outperform high multiple shares over the next one to two years, with particular conviction in infrastructure, gold, U.S. cyclicals, uranium and ‘quality value’ opportunities globally.

The most recent analyst rating on (AU:LSF) stock is a Buy with a A$4.50 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on L1 Long Short Fund Ltd. stock, see the AU:LSF Stock Forecast page.
