Kosmos Energy Ltd. is a deepwater exploration and production company operating in the oil and gas sector, with diversified assets offshore in regions such as Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Senegal, and the Gulf of America.

In its second quarter of 2025, Kosmos Energy reported a net loss of $88 million, with adjusted net loss reaching $93 million. Despite the financial setback, the company achieved significant operational milestones, including the successful commencement of commercial operations for the Gimi floating LNG vessel at the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project.

Key financial metrics for the quarter included revenues of $393 million, net production of approximately 63,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day, and capital expenditures of $86 million. The company also generated $127 million in cash flow from operations and $45 million in free cash flow. Notably, Kosmos achieved the lifting of 3.5 gross LNG cargos from the GTA project and drilled the first of two planned wells at Jubilee.

Looking ahead, Kosmos Energy is focused on increasing production, reducing costs, and enhancing balance sheet resilience. The company has revised its full-year capital expenditure guidance down to $350 million and is working towards further cost reductions and increased liquidity. With production expected to rise and costs to fall, Kosmos aims to deliver long-term value for its shareholders.

Kosmos Energy remains committed to its strategic priorities and anticipates further growth in production as it optimizes operations at key projects like GTA and Jubilee. The management’s outlook suggests a positive trajectory towards achieving higher production levels and financial stability in the coming quarters.
