Helios Fairfax Posts Q1 Loss Amid Investment Shifts

Helios Fairfax Partners Corporation (TSE:HFPC.U) has released an update.

Helios Fairfax Partners Corporation reported a first-quarter net loss of $4.7 million in 2024, contrasting with net earnings of $7.0 million in the same period last year, despite an increase of 4.3% in the fair value of Helios Managed Investments. The loss was attributed to unrealized losses from investments in TopCo LP, although these were partly offset by gains in other areas. The company remains in a strong position with over $89 million in cash, focusing on capital deployment in African economies.
