Chorus Limited Sees Surge in Fibre Connectivity

Chorus Limited (CHRUF) has released an update.

Chorus Limited reports a notable increase in fibre uptake to 71.4% with a growth of 10,000 new fibre connections in the last quarter, despite a slight decrease from the previous quarter’s growth. Average monthly data usage on fibre has surged past COVID lockdown levels, reaching 623 gigabytes in June, as consumers demand higher speeds, with a significant number now using over 1 terabyte. The company is also observing a continued decline in copper network connections, with only 45,000 remaining in fibre areas, further underscoring the global trend towards fibre networks.
