Champion Iron Limited is a Canadian-based producer of high-grade iron ore, operating the Bloom Lake Mining Complex in Québec’s Labrador Trough through its subsidiary QIO. Bloom Lake is an open-pit mine with two concentration plants powered primarily by renewable hydroelectricity and a combined nameplate capacity of 15 million wet metric tonnes per year, producing low-contaminant 66.2% Fe iron ore concentrate with proven capability to reach 67.5% Fe direct reduction quality.
