Brookfield Business Corp. Class A ( (TSE:BBUC) ) has provided an update.

Brookfield Business Partners reported a return to profitability in 2025 with net income attributable to unitholders of $43 million, reversing a loss of $109 million in the prior year, as it executed a busy year of capital recycling and portfolio reshaping. The company generated over $2 billion from asset sales, deployed $700 million into four growth acquisitions and repurchased $235 million of its units and shares at a discount, while moving toward completion of a corporate reorganization aimed at boosting global demand for its equity. Adjusted EBITDA for the year declined modestly to $2.4 billion from $2.6 billion, reflecting lower tax recoveries, the partial sale of interests in several businesses and prior-year contributions from disposed operations, though underlying performance was strong in key areas: the Industrials segment grew Adjusted EBITDA to $1.28 billion on the back of new manufacturing acquisitions, strong demand for higher-margin advanced batteries and margin optimization in engineered components. Business Services EBITDA was broadly stable, with growth after adjusting for acquisitions and dispositions, supported by a 26% increase in new premiums at its residential mortgage insurer despite slower revenue recognition under IFRS 17 and modernization costs at its dealer software unit. Infrastructure Services EBITDA fell to $436 million from $606 million due to asset sales, including the shuttle tanker operation and a partial interest in work access services, though margin initiatives and new commercial wins in lottery services signaled ongoing repositioning of the portfolio. Overall, the results highlight Brookfield Business Partners’ strategy of recycling capital from mature or non-core assets into higher-growth sectors, while repurchases and reorganization efforts seek to enhance long-term value and market appeal for unitholders and shareholders.
