An update from Boeing ( (BA) ) is now available.
Boeing reported a sharp rebound in 2025, with fourth-quarter revenue rising to $23.9 billion on the back of 160 commercial aircraft deliveries and full-year revenue reaching $89.5 billion, the company’s highest annual total since 2018. Profitability swung back into positive territory, driven largely by a $9.6 billion gain from the sale of portions of its Digital Aviation Solutions business, while operating cash flow turned positive at $1.3 billion in the quarter and $1.1 billion for the year. The company’s backlog climbed to a record $682 billion, underpinned by 1,173 net commercial airplane orders and record backlogs across all segments, signaling robust long-term demand.
Strategically, Boeing closed its acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems in December 2025, a move the company framed as central to bolstering safety, quality and production stability across its commercial programs following years of operational and reputational challenges. Alongside divesting parts of its Digital Aviation Solutions unit, the transactions mark a continued reshaping of Boeing’s portfolio as management focuses on stabilizing operations, advancing development programs and rebuilding trust with customers, regulators and investors, reinforcing its competitive position in the global aerospace industry.
