Baronsmead Venture Trust Posts Second Year of NAV Growth and 7.1% Dividend Yield

Baronsmead Venture ( (GB:BVT) ) has provided an update.

Baronsmead Venture Trust plc reported a second consecutive year of net asset value growth in its annual results for the year to 30 September 2025, with NAV per share rising 1.5% to 53.6p before dividends and total net assets reaching £216.7mn. The trust delivered a tax-free dividend yield of 7.1% based on total dividends of 3.75p, made £10.1mn of net investments across six new and fourteen follow-on deals, and realised £11.4mn of proceeds with a £1.6mn gain, reflecting an improving performance from both its unquoted holdings and a recovery in its AIM-listed portfolio in the second half. The board, which has declared a 2.0p final dividend for March 2026 subject to approval, acknowledged the need for sustained performance to offset prior years’ value losses and is working with the manager on new strategic and operational performance indicators, while also addressing shareholder concerns on fees by reiterating that no performance fees were paid and any future performance fees are capped at 5% of NAV.
