Following this latest transaction, Barclays’ issued share capital will comprise 13,823,349,667 ordinary shares with voting rights and no treasury shares, giving shareholders an updated denominator for regulatory disclosure purposes, while the aggregate number of shares repurchased since the buy-back began in October 2025 has reached 98,360,694 shares at an average price of 464.1868p, signalling continued capital return to investors and a reduction in share count that may enhance earnings per share over time.
