Following this latest transaction, Barclays’ issued share capital will stand at 13,870,070,480 ordinary shares with voting rights and no shares held in treasury, and since the buy-back programme began on 23 October 2025 the bank has acquired a total of 45,347,479 shares, a move that reduces share count, can enhance earnings per share, and provides investors with clearer parameters for regulatory disclosure obligations under FCA transparency rules.
