Bank of Marin Bancorp has announced the appointment of Tani Girton, the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, as the new Principal Accounting Officer, effective May 13, 2024. With a 37-year career in financial services, Girton brings extensive experience from previous roles at Bank of the West and Charles Schwab. Meanwhile, former Principal Accounting Officer David Merck will transition to the role of Senior Vice President and Director of Audit, Compliance and Risk. Girton’s appointment comes with no familial ties to the board or undisclosed regulatory transactions.
