An update from Anfield Energy Inc ( (TSE:AEC) ) is now available.

On December 22, 2025, Anfield Energy Inc. announced that the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has issued an affirmative initial completeness determination for the company’s permit application to restart its past-producing JD-8 uranium and vanadium mine in Montrose County, Colorado. The completeness review, based on an application submitted November 19, 2025, confirms that Anfield has provided the required technical, environmental, reclamation and financial assurance information to move into full substantive review, keeping the JD-8 project aligned with a potential approval and mobilization timeline in mid-2026 and a targeted production restart in the second half of 2026. JD-8 is part of Anfield’s West Slope project cluster and would feed the company’s Shootaring Canyon mill under its hub-and-spoke production strategy, underscoring the company’s ambition to be among the next conventional uranium producers in the U.S. However, management cautioned that the decision to advance JD-8 is based on historical production data and drill sample analysis rather than a feasibility study of mineral reserves, leaving higher uncertainty and risk around the project’s ultimate economic and technical viability for investors and other stakeholders.

Spark’s Take on TSE:AEC Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TSE:AEC is a Underperform.

Anfield Energy Inc. struggles with significant financial issues, including ongoing losses and negative cash flows, which are major detractors from its stock score. The technical analysis indicates bearish trends, further limiting its attractiveness. Despite these challenges, recent strategic corporate events provide some positive outlook for potential growth. However, negative valuation metrics and the lack of earnings growth weigh heavily against the stock’s overall appeal.
