Amaroq Ltd. ( (TSE:AMRQ) ) has issued an announcement.
Amaroq Ltd. has reported highly encouraging exploration results from its Minturn project in northwest Greenland, where new work indicates the presence of a large Kiruna-style iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) system extending along an 80 km trend and showing a 9 km zone of intense iron oxide alteration. Surface samples have returned exceptionally high iron grades of up to 69.5% Fe with low impurities, suggesting potential for direct shipping ore suitable for direct reduced iron production, while geophysical and geochemical data point to associated copper and gold mineralisation that could significantly enhance the project’s economic profile and reinforce Greenland’s status as a mineral-rich jurisdiction. Building on a reinterpretation of historical data that upgraded Minturn from a simple iron occurrence to a multi-commodity IOCG target, Amaroq is advancing the project with a 2026 field programme including scout drilling, detailed mapping and ground geophysics to test copper-gold targets, define the size and geometry of the system, and assess whether Minturn can become a cornerstone IOCG discovery within the company’s growing critical minerals portfolio.
