Air New Zealand Limited has announced a decrease in their annual pre-tax earnings to $222 million, down from the previous year’s $574 million, alongside a net profit of $146 million for the 2024 financial year. Despite increased passenger revenue reaching $5.9 billion, the company faced significant operational challenges, including aircraft maintenance issues and heightened competition, which impacted their financial performance. Shareholders can anticipate a final dividend of 1.5 cents per share, concluding the year’s total dividends at 3.5 cents per share.
