Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) Stock Slips after CFO Announces Resignation

Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) stock declined about 8% on Tuesday after the consulting firm announced that Chief Financial Officer Matthew Calderone will step down from his role early next year. The company said that Calderone plans to leave for “another opportunity outside our industry.”

The resignation will take effect on February 1, 2026, giving the company more than a year of transition time.

Importantly, Calderone has served as CFO during a period of expansion for Booz Allen, which provides management, technology, and cybersecurity consulting services to government and commercial clients.

Booz Allen has already begun the search for a permanent successor. In the interim, Kristine Martin Anderson, the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, will assume the responsibilities.

What’s Ahead for BAH Stock?

The executive change comes at a time when BAH stock is struggling. Shares of the company are down 32% year‑to‑date, mainly because the company cut its full-year outlook and reported weaker-than-expected earnings in October, including a sharp drop in profit and slower revenue growth tied to funding delays in its civil business.

The weak results triggered several analyst downgrades and added to investor concerns about softer margins.

However, the company maintains a strong position in federal consulting and cybersecurity. Also, stable government demand, solid backlog, and eventual recovery in civil‑sector funding could help stabilize performance.

What Is the Price Target for BAH?

Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on BAH stock based on two Buys, six Holds, and three Sells assigned in the past three months. Further, the average Booz Allen price target of $99.67 per share implies 16.83% upside potential.
