Archer Aviation (ACHR) Stock Sees Call Option Surge as Bullish Traders Position Ahead of Q2 Earnings

Investor interest in Archer Aviation (ACHR) is picking up ahead of its Q2 2025 earnings report on August 7. The $11 calls expiring on July 3 and July 11 saw the most action, accounting for nearly 11,800 contracts. With a put/call ratio of just 0.16, the options market is signaling a clear tilt toward bullish sentiment. Meanwhile, ACHR stock climbed 3.63% in yesterday’s trading.

Deals, Milestones, and Strong Financials

The options move comes amid growing optimism around Archer’s commercial roadmap. The company recently announced a partnership with Jetex, a global private aviation provider, to retrofit 40 luxury terminals in more than 30 countries for its electric air taxi, Midnight. The rollout will begin in the UAE, where Archer has already partnered with Abu Dhabi Aviation and regional stakeholders. The infrastructure-light approach, which leverages existing terminals, could help compress costs and accelerate timelines.

Archer also stands to benefit from new policy tailwinds. A recent executive order aims to fast-track FAA certification of eVTOL aircraft, supporting pilot programs in the U.S. and allied countries. Archer’s $142 million in U.S. Air Force contracts through Agility Prime provides both early-stage revenue and technical validation.

The company remains pre-revenue, but interest is building. Pre-orders now top $6 billion. Backers include United Airlines (UAL), the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and others. A $2 billion liquidity position, fueled by $850 million in recent fundraising, provides it with operational runway; however, burn rates remain high, with $450 million in negative free cash flow this year.

Shares of ACHR have jumped 215% over the past 12 months. While risks remain around certification and commercialization, current options activity suggests investors are betting that momentum could build even before earnings.
