Analyst Comments on AMD Stock
Tan argues that AMD’s artificial intelligence (AI) server business has performed well and will likely continue to do so. However, she believes this is already priced into the stock’s current value. The analyst also noted that AMD’s large exposure to PC gaming presents risks due to macroeconomic factors and that it has strong competition in the space from Intel (INTC) and Nvidia (NVDA).
AMD stock slipped 1.28% on Thursday alongside the analyst updates. The stock is also down 3.79% year-to-date. While the shares suffered a blow in early April from President Donald Trump’s tariff plans, they have since recovered and are close to erasing 2025 losses.
