While the Presidential Lecture Series is an educational endeavor, investors will want to keep an eye on the event to hear what Su says during it. Her speech could relate back to AMD and the chipmaker’s recent success in the artificial intelligence (AI) space and offer a unique look into the company’s operations.

AMD stock was up 1.84% in pre-market trading on Tuesday, following a 4.03% rally yesterday. The shares have increased 14.99% year-to-date and 106.08% over the past 12 months.
