U.S. stock futures edged higher on Thursday evening as Wall Street looked to finish the week strong, helped by rising hopes for U.S.-Iran peace talks, lower oil prices, and solid corporate earnings. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), the Nasdaq 100 (NDX), and the S&P 500 (SPX) were up 0.13%, 0.32%, and 0.16%, respectively, at 7:35 p.m. EDT on May 21.

In the regular trading session, the Dow Jones closed at a new record even as Nvidia (NVDA) slipped despite a strong quarter and upbeat outlook. Overall, the Dow, the S&P 500, and the Nasdaq ended the day up 0.6%, 0.2%, and 0.1%, respectively.
Traders look forward to earnings from BJ’s Wholesale (BJ) and Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) tomorrow. Traders will also track fresh data on final consumer sentiment for May and U.S. leading economic indicators for April.
