Wells Fargo analyst Hanwen Chang raised the firm’s price target on Viper Energy (VNOM) to $52 from $51 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. The firm says the company enters 2026 with a simplified, Permian-only royalty portfolio and a materially strengthened financial profile following the non-Permian divestiture. Management is guiding to mid-single-digit organic oil growth from its Permian base, with FY26 oil volumes of 61-67 mbbl/d, broadly consistent with Q4 exit levels adjusted for divested vols.
