ACC, a joint venture in which Stellantis (STLA) is the largest investor, told unions it has dropped plans to build gigafactories in Italy and Germany, Reuters reports, citing a statement from the Italian metalworkers’ union UILM. ACC had plans for three gigafactories in Europe, but has “definitely shelved” its planned projects for Termoli, in Italy, and Kaiserslautern, in Germany.
