During its presentation at CinemaCon, Paramount (PSKY) announced that its upcoming film adaptation of Activision’s (MSFT) “Call of Duty” video game franchise will release in theaters on June 30, 2028, Variety’s Matt Donnelly reports. “Lone Survivor” and “Friday Night Lights” director Peter Berg will direct the film, while “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan will write the script, the author notes. “Taylor and I are both deeply connected to the special ops community,” Berg said in a video message at CinemaCon.
