Meta is preparing to undo its acquisition of AI startup Manus after China banned the transaction, Rafaele Huang and Meghan Bobrowsky of The Wall Street Journal reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Meta bought Manus for $2.5B in December and quickly integrated the new tech into its systems. To further complicate matters, Manus’s investors have already received their returns, people with knowledge of the matter said.
