Meta (META) has asked a judge to overturn or retry a jury verdict that found it partially liable for a user’s depression due to alleged addictive platform design, following a case that also found Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) YouTube liable, with the jury awarding $4.2M in damages against Meta and $1.8M against Google, Reuters’ Diana Novak Jones reports.
