A Los Angeles jury found Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) Google unit and Meta (META) liable in a landmark social media addiction lawsuit whose outcome could influence thousands of similar cases against the tech companies, reported Reuters. Snap (SNAP) and TikTok were also defendants in the trial, but both settled with the plaintiff before it began, the report noted.
